As a kid I played over seven sports… for about 6 months each. I wanted to try everything and, while I’m no star athlete, I can tell you a little bit about just about everything. In the garden of life, I’d like to think I’ve smelled just about every flower. So, what’s stuck with me since then? My love for art from when I used to draw before games and a little bit during (sorry to my soccer coach), my hunger for learning and my never ending fascination with people. Advertising has given this jack of all trades the chance to be in the field and touch all the parts of a project. I’d like to think I’m living little me’s dream life, minus the cleats.
Recently, being in client facing roles has given me the opportunity to become a better listener and foster relationships with clients that are built on trust and communication. Every business and client is different, and I love to be the one to decipher their needs and figure out what works for them. Being able to motivate a team and keep the client happy is a goal I strive for daily. For a good Account Executive, I’ve found that the job is never done until everyone has brought their ideas to the table.
